A new sitcom directed by Kenneth Gyang (director of the award-winning movie Confusion Na Wa) has made it’s debut on EbonyLife TV. The show, which is titled How I Made My First Million was created by Kenneth Gyang and Tom Rowland-Rees (Cinema Kpatakpata) for EbonyLife TV.
The show traces the fate of comically inept wannabe business guru Obi as he struggles to bring in the big money that he feels he is destined to make. Whether its in overpriced get-fit-quick videos or breakaway communist republics, Obi sees an opportunity to make big bucks everywhere. Caught up in the chaos are Obi’s long-suffering girlfriend Maria, idealistic best friend Kunle and their unshakeably optimistic housemate Joji.
The show stars AMAA Best Supporting Actor nominee Gold Ikponmwosa (Confusion Na Wa), Meg Otanwa, Ifeanyi Dike Jr (Tinsel), Patience Egwurube and guest stars Jeremiah Gyang as legendary Nollywood director Onye McGuyver. It shows everyday at 8:30pm on EbonyLife TV (Channel 165 on DSTV)
